At the conclusion of the WNCC Medication Aide program, the student will:

• Demonstrate knowledge and use of competent skills of a Medication Aide.
• Describe body systems and define anatomical terms.
• Identify normal changes of aging.
• Demonstrate safe practice required of a Medication Aide role, including but not limited to confidentiality, medication administration rights, timely and accurate documentation, and infection control standards.
• Demonstrate application of routine medication administration including but not limited to oral, inhalation, topical, and instillation.
• Demonstrate and comply with limitations and conditions relating to the Medication Aide Act.
• Demonstrate and explain resident rights to be free from physical and verbal abuse, neglect, and misappropriation or misuse of property.

As a certified Medication Aide, you'll learn the roles, responsibilities and skills needed to safely administer medications to patients.

Medication Aides work closely and under the direction of a licensed healthcare professional. Medication Aides are qualified to work in a variety of settings, including: hospitals, rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, medical offices, and home healthcare facilities.

   WNCC will contact you to register for classes.
3. Contact the Business Office to Pay for Your Course
   Payment is due in full before registration is complete. Financial Aid is accepted to those who qualify.
